Details about the role:

Scream Truck is looking for a full-time, junior software engineer to join our product development team, working on the development of our food truck logistics platform. In this role, you’ll work alongside senior engineers to create cutting-edge web, data and notification-based products that facilitate the delivery of ice-cream and other prepared foods. Our ideal candidate will have a deep passion for building innovative technologies, great communication skills, and a love of food (especially ice cream!).

Responsibilities:

• Work with our team to develop our core application and integrations in Python, Javascript, Typescript, SCSS and SQL
• Participate in scrum-planning, backlog grooming and all other agile development activities
• Participate in architectural and software design discussions as a member of the product development team
• Act as a technical voice in discussions with business and operations stakeholders
• Provide on-call technical support when/if needed

Background & Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience working on product web or mobile applications
• Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: python,javascript, typescript, node.js or scss
• Experience working with Django, Flask or other web application frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or another technical field or commensurate experience
• Solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, such as algorithms and data structures
